Singer-entertainer Hong Kyung-min will tie the knot with a female musician this fall, news reports said Friday.

Hong plans to marry Kim Yu-na, 10 years his junior, this October or November. The couple‘s families are said to have already met to discuss wedding arrangements.

Kim is a haegeum player, who graduated from Korean National University of Arts, a prestigious school for traditional music players. The haegeum is a traditional Korean string instrument, mainly used for Korean folk music.
Hong, 38, had his debut in 1997 as a rock-ballad singer.

The couple had performed together on the March 1 episode of KBS-2TV singing program “Immortal Song 2,” where Hong sang a Korean folk song “Alone Arirang” with haegeum accompaniment of Kim .

“Hong Kyung-min and Kim Yu-na have met as a singer and a performer, so they have a lot in common,” a source close to the couple was quoted as saying.
