Celebrated pastry chefs to mesmerize with desserts in Seoul on Jan. 14

Park Hyatt Seoul, located in Gangnam, southern Seoul, looks to attract those with a prominent sweet tooth in a one-time, dessert-themed event at the hotel’s top floor restaurant, The Lounge, on Jan. 14.

The upcoming food event, “Four Hands Dessert: A Taste of Seoul and Paris,” invites renowned chefs Kim Na-rae and Lee Ji-myung to showcase their creativity and inspiration.

The event offers an eight-course dessert menu along with a glass of Champagne and a cocktail.

While visitors can feast their eyes on the vibrant cityscape, the delicately curated desserts will take epicureans on a special gastronomic journey.

Kim of Park Hyatt Paris-Vendome, whose pastry chef career has taken her through Seoul, Guam, Vietnam and France, became the first foreign woman to be named best pastry chef of the year by Gault & Millau.

Gault & Millau is an esteemed French restaurant guide that stands alongside the Michelin Guide in terms of acclaim and recognition.

Meanwhile, Lee of Park Hyatt Seoul won the silver and bronze medals in the patisserie category at the Singapore FHA Culinary Challenge, one of the three major international cooking competitions.

“Four Hands Dessert: A Taste of Seoul and Paris” is take place 1:30-3:30 p.m. on Jan. 14.

Admission is 200,000 won ($153). Early reservation is recommended.
