South Korea’s leading golf simulator maker, Golfzon, launched last week its first store in the US under its new brand Zstrict, as parts of its effort in expanding sports entertainment business in the country, the company said Tuesday.

Located in Chelsea Piers, a sports complex in Connecticut, Zstrict offers tournament-type golf games that allow players to participate simultaneously against each other in numerous competitions for cash and rewards.

With cash and rewards gained by completing missions at different levels, players can use the rewards as payment for services at Zstrict or for food and beverage offered at the store, the company explained.

The business combines the concept of mission and rewards in golf simulation games so that players can enjoy leisure and entertainment activities at the same time, the firm added.

Simulation games are offered in four different modes -- regular, challenge, tournament and arcade.

Golfzon will also start offering night golf simulation.

“Zstrict is a sports entertainment business that combined a new type of golf games with luxurious food and beverage facilities in the North American market, where golf has become a popular sport,” said Kim Joo-hyun, an executive in charge of Golfzon’s global business.

“We will take the lead by providing more advanced golf business through Zstrict.”

Backed by graphics and technology in golf simulator, Golfzon is the largest golf simulator business provider in the world.
