South Korea’s Hanwha Engineering and Construction stressed the importance of safety and preventing disasters at construction sites at its annual safety event, the company said Monday.

In a meeting with partner companies and employees, Hanwha E&C CEO Choi Kwang-ho highlighted the importance of communication between employees and partner firms to better ensure safety.
“Please do your best to achieve a ‘zero-accident’ goal by building a systematic safety system between employees and partner companies,” Choi said.
The construction firm has annually held the event to promote occupational health and safety management. It was also held at other apartment construction sites in cities such as Gwanggyo, Gimpo in the province.
The CEO also previously held meetings with the chiefs of partner companies to discuss ways to mutually seek safety-oriented business, and monitor and reduce hazards in construction.
