Audi Korea has launched a monthlong “Audi Winter Special Care Program” for Audi owners who take a winter ski trip to High1 Resort, one of the country’s most popular ski resorts, in Jeongseon, Gangwon Province, officials said Sunday.

The program, which continues through Jan. 18, offers a concierge service, along with an exclusive parking lot, to Audi customers upon their arrival at the resort. Their cars undergo free checkups while the owners enjoy winter sports.

A thorough inspection service is performed on coolants, tires, the brake system and battery ― the crucial parts for winter driving on icy roads. Reservations should be made prior to arrival, officials said.

Audi, known for the driving supremacy of its four-wheel drive system Quattro, has sponsored the German Ski Association for almost 30 years, supporting other winter sports events as well.

The carmaker said Quattro technology is especially a good fit for mountainous Korea, which sees more than 110 days of snow or rain per year.

In Korea, Quattro models made up 76 percent or 15,140 vehicles of Audi’s 20,044 unit sales last year.
