The Seoul Global Center will be running its second term this year of free Korean language classes from July 26 to Nov. 20.

The 15-week courses are open to all foreigners living in Korea, including those holding Korean dual citizenship. The courses will cater to beginner through to intermediate skill levels.

Weekly two-hour classes will take place between the morning and afternoon on either Saturday or Sunday. Students must pay a 40,000 won ($39) deposit in their first week, which will be returned on the last day of class to those who attended at least 80 percent of their course. They must also purchase their own textbooks.

Applications must be made in person on the fifth floor of the Seoul Global Center building, which can be reached by walking 50 meters from Exit 6 of Jonggak Station. Applications for the Saturday classes will take place this Saturday from 10-11:30 a.m., and for Sunday classes on Sunday from 10-11:30 a.m. The process will run on a first-come, first-served basis.

Applicants are asked to bring a completed application form, and a copy of an ID card. They will be required to complete a one-hour entry-level test, except if they are applying for a beginner course or have completed a previous term of SGC classes.
