Enjoy the European Christmas market with The Grand Hilton

The Grand Hilton Seoul will be joining the European Christmas market held in Seongbukcheon Fountain Plaza on Nov. 29 and 30. Sponsored by the embassies of Germany, France, Italy, the U.K. and Switzerland, the European Christmas market is a festive event that celebrates the holiday season and the cultures of various countries. The Grand Hilton Seoul will represent Germany and sell decorative wrapped desserts including gingerbread houses, mini banana cakes, mini marble cakes, pecan tarts, Santa cookies, snowman cookies and goulash. Ten percent of all sales will be donated to charity. The stalls will be open from noon to 8 p.m. For more information, visit globa.seoul.go.kr/seongbuk. 

Year-end buffet festival at The Plaza

The Plaza will hold a buffet festival featuring head chefs from the hotel’s fine dining restaurants and cafes. The Gourmet Cruise Gala Dinner will be held on Dec. 4 and 5 at the all-day dining and buffet restaurant The Seven Square from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. The dinner will feature items such as grilled strips of beef, pork duroc pancetta, steamed percebes, fried sunfish, scampi tortellini, fan lobster, Guangdong-style big fin reef squid wrapped in lotus leaves and more. Romantic Christmas Eve dinner at JW Marriott Hotel Seoul

JW Mariott Hotel Seoul is celebrating the end of the year with various food and beverage promotions. JW’s Grill will offer two courses for a romantic Christmas Eve. Priced at 150,000 won, the A-Course features cornbread muffins, buttermilk biscuits, black truffle-flavored mushroom soup, grilled Australian beef tenderloin and more. Priced at 180,000 won, the B-Course consists of big eye tuna tartar, foie gras and smoked eel parcel, champagne sorbet, Angus beef tenderloin and lobster. The Cafe will also offer Christmas dishes including roasted turkey with all the trimmings, desserts and more for the price of 83,000 won for lunch and 91,000 won for dinner. Family-friendly winter packages at Lotte Hotel World

Lotte Hotel World will offer four family-friendly packages from Dec. 1 to Feb. 28. Priced at 240,000 won, the Simple Package offers a night’s stay in a Deluxe Room, a USB heating pad and two bottles of Schofferhofer beer. For 280,000 won, the Tasty Package includes the benefits of the previous package as well as two all-access tickets to Lotte World Adventure. The Colorful Package is priced at 320,000 won and is an all-inclusive package that features a night in a Deluxe Room, breakfast for two, and more. Guests who pay an additional 40,000 won can stay in a Character Room designed on the theme of Lotte World Adventure mascots Lotty and Lorry. For reservations and inquiries, call (02) 419-7000. 


Luxurious Christmas cakes at The Shilla

The Shilla Seoul’s Pastry Boutique will be offering three special Christmas cakes to celebrate the season. The Santa’s Bag cake is made to resemble Santa’s sack, filled with presents. The cake is filled with hazelnuts, almond and hazelnut nougatine, dark chocolate and hazelnut cream, and is topped with homemade macaroons. The White Holiday cake is The Shilla’s signature cake, featuring a nest made of chocolate and topped with green tea powder, powdered sugar and whipped cream. The White Cube cake has a yuja base, with milk chocolate and white vanilla mousse. Prices range from 60,000 won to 70,000 won.
