과반수의 대학생들이 캠퍼스 라이프를 즐기지 못하고 있는 것으로 조사 됐다. “학비 마련 부담”과 “취업 걱정”이 주된 요인이었다.

잡코리아 좋은일 연구소가 대학교 4학년 학생 528명을 대상으로 “대학생활 행복 정도”에 관해 조사를 실시한 결과 2명 중 1명에 해당하는 50.6%가 대학생활이 “불행한 편이다”고 답했다.

그 이유(*복수응답)로 학비 마련에 대한 부담 때문이라는 의견이 응답률 44.2%로 가장 높게 나타났으며 취업 걱정이 36.3% 그리고 생활비 마련에 대한 부담이 31.1%로 주로 경제적인 요인에 의한 스트레스가 많은 것으로 나타났다.

이처럼 비싼 등록금에도 불구하고 대학을 다니는 이유가 무엇인지 질문했을 때, 오로지 12.1%의 응답자가 “전공 관련 학문”을 배울 수 있어서라 응답했으며 10.8%가 많은 경험을 할 수 있어서라고 답했다.

반면 72.9%의 응답자는 “취업이나 결혼”을 위해서 졸업장이 필요하다는 이유로 대학교에 다닌다고 말했다. (코리아헤럴드)

Korea‘s college students ‘unhappy’: survey

The majority of South Korean college students are leading “unhappy” lives on campus due to concerns over heavy tuition and bleak job prospects, data showed on Tuesday.

The results are based on a survey of 528 students in their senior year across the nation by Job Korea, in which 50.6 percent of respondents said they are “not happy with university life.”

As the source of unhappiness, 44.2 percent of those who are not happy picked “tuition.”

Of all the respondents, only 12.1 percent turned out to be attending university to obtain knowledge about their majors and 10.8 percent to enjoy and experience various opportunities provided by the university.

More than 70 percent of the surveyed said that they go to university because “a diploma is needed for a job and marriage.”
