The members of the hip-hop duo Bae Chi Gi, Moo-woong and Tak, have finally released the second part of their comeback mini album, “Vol. 4 Part 2.”

The mini album, released on Jan. 14, contains five songs including the duo’s chart-topping title track “Shower of Tears.” The title song ranked No. 1 on MelOn, Daum, Naver and other online music sites’ real-time charts as of Monday morning.

Ranking at the top of the chart is a big-time victory for the members of Bae Chi Gi as it is the first time the band has ever reached No. 1 on any music chart in the eight years since debuting in 2005.

“Shower of Tears” is a light, trot hip-hop track featuring rookie soloist Ailee on vocals. The duo revealed that they actually wrote the song two years ago, but decided to release the song this time around after receiving positive feedback from their agency’s president.

Bae Chi Gi released their first album “Giant” in 2005 and has since gained a reputation for their hardcore rapping skills and hip-hop style. Then in 2009, the two released the mini album “367 Days” before stepping out of the limelight. And after a nearly three-year hiatus, the duo released mini album “Two Mari” in April of last year, before completing their comeback last week with their latest, fourth album.
