The Swiss Embassy in Korea and Gana Art Gallery organized a special digital media exhibition in downtown Seoul on Dec. 5 to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Korea and Switzerland.

The exhibition, “Media Arts from Switzerland,” displays artistically rendered digital imagery on the facade of Seoul Square Media Canvas across the street from Seoul Station every Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m. through Jan. 31.

The project celebrates the 50th anniversary of Swiss-Korea ties by introducing Swiss “innovative and future-oriented” media art to Korea, the Swiss Embassy said in a press release.

This exhibition concludes a series of events celebrating 50 years of ties.

Four digital narratives are told throughout the two-month-long organic video art show, the brainchild of Swiss artists Ursula Scherrer, Fabian Chiquet, Yves Netzhammer and Camille Sherrer, each telling a story of their own on the massive facade of the Seoul Square building.

Ursula Scherrer’s video is called “Lines;” Chiquet’s “The Circle of Pop;” Camille Scherrer’s “Head for Heights;” and Netzhammer’s “Untitled.”
