After much anticipation, Chanel’s black jacket photo exhibition has arrived in Seoul.

The exhibition, which began on Saturday, displays photographs of celebrities and various personalities wearing the Chanel jacket. The snaps were taken by Karl Lagerfeld, who has been the head designer and creative director for the fashion house for 29 years.

Since its debut in Tokyo in April, the exhibition has toured New York, Taipei, Hong Kong, London, Moscow, Sydney, Paris and Berlin.

The photographs are from Lagerfeld’s book “The Little Black Jacket: CHANEL’s classic revisited by Karl Lagerfeld and Carine Roitfeld,” which illustrates how the black jacket is being styled and worn differently by celebrities including actresses Sarah Jessica Parker, Kirsten Dunst and Song Hye-kyo.

“With the Little Black Jacket book and exhibition, we wanted to give to the Chanel jacket, an iconic product of the brand’s heritage and one of Chanel’s most emblematic creations, its own means of expression and to place it center stage. We are very happy to bring it to Seoul,” said Bruno Pavlovsky, Chanel’s president of global fashion.

The photos of the classic jacket show how it can adapted to any style. The iconic piece is transformed into a headdress for Parker, casually thrown over Dunst’s femme fatale shoulders and charmingly worn by a roller skating Song.

Running simultaneously with the exhibition, the window display of Chanel shops at Galleria Department Store, Hyundai Main Department Store, Shinsegae Gangnam Department Store and Hotel Lotte Duty Free Store, will present a selection of jackets from the latest collections.

The exhibition continues through Dec. 16 at Beyond Museum in Cheongdam-dong, Seoul. The exhibition opens from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. The book is available on Amazon.com.
