Stocks owned by Samsung chairman, family hit 13 tln won

The value of stocks held by Samsung Group Chairman Lee Kun-hee and his immediate family hit the 13 trillion won mark, mainly due to the bullish stock market, data showed Sunday.

The combined shares of listed companies owned by Lee, his wife and children surged 25.4 percent or a little over 2.6 trillion won from a year ago, according to the data compiled by Chaebol.com, a conglomerate research firm.

Samsung is South Korea's largest family-owned conglomerate, known here as chaebol, with its affiliates globally dominant in such areas as electronics and shipbuilding.

Lee, himself, controlled stocks totaling more than 10.5 trillion won, up 21.7 percent on-year. This makes him the first person in South Korea to own shares exceeding 10 trillion won.

His son and heir apparent, Lee Jae-yong, the chief operating officer (COO) of Samsung Electronics, and the chairman's wife Hong Ra-hee, the director of Leeum Museum, also held shares exceeding 1 trillion, each.

Besides Samsung, Chaebol.com said shares held by the owners of Hyundai Motor Group., the world's fifth largest automotive conglomerate, reached 9.7 trillion won, up 9.6 percent or 854.6 billion won from 2010.

The total includes stocks held by chairman Chung Mong-koo, his son Eui-sun and other members of his immediate family.

Other top shareholders were families that controlled Lotte, Shinsegae and LG groups.

Shares held by chairman Shin Kyuk-ho and his family in Lotte, the country's leading confectionery and hotel chain, stood at 3.7 trillion won, followed by 3.1 trillion and 2.6 trillion won worth of shares controlled by family members who manage retailer Shinsegae and appliance electronics maker LG. 이건희 일가 보유 주식 13조원 넘어

이건희 삼성전자 회장 일가(3명)가 보유한 상장사 주식자산이 13조원을 돌파했다.

25일 재벌닷컴이 1천820개 상장사 대주주와 특수관계인이 보유한 주식지분 가치를 지난 23일 종가 기준으로 평가한 결과 이건희 삼성전자 회장과 혈족 1촌 이내 (배우자 포함) 가족의 주식자산은 13조87억원으로 추산됐다.

이 회장 일가의 상장사 보유 주식자산은 불과 1년 사이에 25.4%(2조6천363억원) 나 급증했다. 이 회장은 주식보유액이 역대 최고인 10조5천832억원으로 작년보다 21 .7%(1조8천900억원)나 늘어나 개인으로는 국내에서 사상 처음으로 10조원대 주식 거부(巨富) 반열에 올랐다.

또 이 회장의 장남 이재용 삼성전자 사장과 부인 홍라희 삼성미술관 리움 관장 주식가치도 보유한 삼성전자의 주가가 급등해 작년보다 44.4%나 불어난 1조597억원과 1조3천658억원으로 각각 집계됐다.

이어 정몽구 현대차그룹 회장 가족(5명)이 작년보다 9.6%(8천546억원)가 증가한 9조7천609억원으로 2위를 차지했다.

신격호 롯데그룹 회장 가족(6명)은 3조7천845억원으로 3위에 올랐으나 작년보다 16.1%(7천278억원)가 감소했다. 이명희 신세계그룹 회장 가족(5명)은 9.7%(2천751억 원)가 늘어난 3조1천904억원으로 4위, 구본무 LG그룹 회장 가족(5명)은 9.3%가 감소 한 2조6천33억원으로 5위였다.

정몽준 전 새누리당 대표(1명)는 2조4천543억원으로 작년보다 38.7%(1조5천481억원)가 감소해 4위에서 6위로 떨어졌다. 반면에 조양래 한국타이어 회장 가족(6명) 은 작년보다 25% 증가한 2조2천799억원으로 8위에서 7위로 상승했다.

최태원 SK그룹 회장 가족(2명)은 2조2천477억원으로 작년보다 5.5%가 늘어났지만 순위는 7위에서 8위로 한계단 떨어졌다. 서경배 아모레퍼시픽 사장 가족 (4명)은 34.6%가 증가한 1조9천263억원으로 10위에서 9위로 한계단 위로 올라섰다.

김택진 엔씨소프트 사장(1명)은 작년보다 23%나 증가한 1조6천759억원 으로 순위가 12위에서 10위로 상승했다. 벤처부호로는 처음으로 가족 주식자산 순위 에서 10위권에 진입했다.

이 회장 가족을 포함해 이 날 1조원 이상을 기록한 `1조원클럽' 주식부호 가족 은 작년보다 1곳이 줄어든 16개 가족이었다.

이 중 담철곤 오리온그룹 회장 가족 등 3개 가족의 상장사 주식자산이 1조원을 넘어섰다.

하지만 지난해 1조원을 웃돌았던 허창수 GS그룹 회장 가족(3명), 이수영 OCI그룹 회장 가족(5명), 조석래 효성그룹 회장 가족(5명), 김승연 한화그룹 회장 가족(5명) 등 4개 일가의 주식자산은 계열사 주가하락으로 1조원 아래로 떨어졌다. (연합뉴스)
