A bar crawl to support a baby with a life-threatening condition is to be held in Ilsan this weekend, just two days before her first birthday.

The “Help Hannah Bar Crawl” is to raise cash for Hannah Warren, who has been at Seoul National University Hospital since her birth. She was born without a trachea and is awaiting approval to have a groundbreaking organ transplant in the U.S. Her parents Darryl and Young-mi Warren aim to raise $50,000 to cover the trip and medical costs and have raised more than $23,000 toward their goal.

Friends are holding the bar crawl to contribute to help Hannah breathe unaided and live a normal life.

Wristbands will be sold for a donation of 10,000 won, entitling the wearer to drinks specials at bars on the pub crawl. The group will start at the Ilsanite Pub at 5:30 p.m. before visiting a range of bars in the area.

“The main reason we are doing this is to raise money for baby Hannah so that she can live a long and happy life,” said event organizer, Craig Ball.

“Another is to promote the social scene in Ilsan and bring people back to the bars in the area on Friday and Saturday nights.”
