This Saturday is international volunteer day for an orphanage near Seoul. Angel House is looking for happy volunteers to donate some time to help the 50 kids living at the home northwest of Seoul.

No previous training or experience is required for the helpers asked to chip in to clean the house, wash clothes, make food and have fun with the children.

Foreign volunteers should bring their ARC card or passport and remember that the activity has a participation fee of 10,000 won, which goes to buy food and other necessities for people living at the orphanage.

Around 20 to 30 people take part in the regular event held on the third Saturday of each month.

Volunteers meet at 1 p.m., inside exit 3 of Younsinae subway station (on Lines 3 and 6) before taking a bus together to Angel House at 1:10 p.m. After working, the group then eats a meal cooked for them by Korean volunteers. The foreign and Korean volunteers then travel via a caravan of cars to have a drink together in Sinchon at around 8 p.m.
