프랑스 칸 영화제에 한 중국인 남성이 싸이 행세를 하고 돌아다녀 외신들이 오보를 낸 웃지 못할 해프닝이 벌어졌다.

23일 외신에 따르면, ‘가짜 싸이’는 싸이와 비슷한 복장으로 고급 파티를 찾아다니며 강남스타일을 부르고 말춤을 추는 등 싸이를 흉내내며 제 66회 칸 국제 영화제 행사장을 휘젓고 다녔다.

중국계 프랑스인으로 알려진 이 남성은 경호원 세명을 대동하고 할리우드 배우들과 기념 촬영을 찍는가 하면, 클럽 VIP 룸에서 고급 와인 등을 공짜로 마시며 버젓이 싸이 행세를 하고 다닌 것으로 밝혀졌다.

몇몇 매체들은 이 남성을 진짜 싸이로 착각해 사진을 촬영하고 오보를 내기도 했다.

이에 싸이는 자신의 트위터에 가짜 싸이 사진을 링크시키고 ‘칸에 또다른 나가 있는 것 같다. 그에게 인사를 전해달라”고 재치있는 코멘트를 남겼다. (코리아 헤럴드)

Fake Psy appears at Cannes

A man pretending to be Psy was spotted in this year’s Cannes International Film Festival, foreign media reported Thursday.

Wearing Psy’s trademark suit and round sunglasses, the imposter reportedly sang “Gangnam Style” and performed the world-famous horse-riding dance in front of celebrities who attended an exclusive VIP party at the festival in France.

The man, who was later identified by the local JoongAng Ilbo newspaper as a Frenchmen of Chinese descent, reinforced his disguise by being accompanied by three bodyguards, taking pictures with celebrities and signing autographs.

Some foreign media reported that Psy had visited Cannes.

After hearing the news, the real Psy said via his Twitter that it “seems like there’s another ME at Cannes… Say hi to him.”
