South Korea’s e-commerce platform Coupang said Thursday that it offers a preorder service for Redmi Note 8T, the latest device from China’s cost effective IT brand Xiaomi.
Via the platform’s early morning delivery service Rocket Wow, purchasers may receive their newest Xiaomi device by 7 a.m. next Monday, becoming the first users in Korea.
The Xiaomi Redmi Note series has gained popularity on the back of its high quality and affordable price -- 239,000 won ($201) in Coupang.
The new Redmi Note 8T is equipped with a 48-megapixel quad camera system, which offers high-quality photo-taking experience in selfie and panorama modes. It comes in a single variant of 4 gigabyte RAM and 128 gigabyte storage and will be available in three colors -- Moonlight White, Starscape Blue and Moonshadow Gray.
The preorder will be available throughout the week until Sunday, with benefits including an interest-free installment period of six months, depending on credit cards.
“With Coupang’s pre-order service, customers no longer have to wait for the latest, popular items,” said Coupang’s senior director James BH Lee.
“Coupang will continue to strive to offer exponentially better shopping experiences for our customers.”
