World Aviation Conference held in Incheon for sustainable aviation industry

The fourth World Aviation Conference was held in Incheon this week, bringing together global aviation experts to share current issues and the future of the global airport and aviation industry, according to the Incheon International Airport Corp. on Thursday.

The annual conference hosted by IIAC has been taking place since 2016 to provide a venue for relevant international organizations, academia and industry to discuss diverse issues of the aviation industry.

At this year’s forum held from Tuesday to Thursday, more than 700 experts from 50 countries gathered under the theme of “cooperation in the aviation industry,” the firm said.

The conference consisted of six sessions. The session topics were strategic development plans for the airport economy, challenges and opportunities caused by trends in the air transport industry, trends and implications for hub airports, policy indicator management for hub airports, royalty policies to increase demand and challenges of airport service evaluation.

Koo Bon-hwan, president of IIAC, said, “The forum aimed for improving cooperation among airport officials and experts from around the world to proactively respond to structural changes in the international aviation industry and to achieve sustainable growth.”
