Since its establishment in 1983 under the South Korean government, KGC has been operating a total of 72 11.4 million-kilometer-long storage facilities around the world. It has built and is operating over 4,790-kilometer-long supply piping networks globally.

Currently, KGC operates 24 overseas project in 13 different countries in the categories of natural gas exploration, natural gas development and production, LNG liquefaction business, construction and operation of public gas piping, operation of overseas LNG terminals and more.

As of the end of 2017, KGC has also imported 33 million tons of LNG domestically from 16 countries.

With the operation of four LNG terminals in Pyeongtaek, Gyeonggi Province, Incheon, Tongyeong and Samcheok, KGC has been actively passing on its 30 years of expertise and know-how globally.

As the first case of overseas LNG base investment and technology export, KGC in 2015 built Mexico’s Manzanillo LNG terminal by exporting its technique of building LNG terminals. Through the project, Mexico secured 10 percent of its total gas supply from the nearby LNG power plant to produce electricity.
