Ocean view buffet at Hotel Tops 10


Hotel Tops 10’s all day dining buffet restaurant Poseidon offers a gourmet experience with quality at a reasonable price.

High-end dishes, such as smoked salmon, cream escargot, grilled lamb and barbequed pork rib are prepared, along with children-friendly menus, including pizza and pasta.

The buffet runs from 12 to 3 p.m. for lunch and from 6 to 10 p.m. for dinner. Poseidon, with its wide windows overlooking the sea, boasts a scenic view of the ocean.

Italian gelato at InterContinental Seoul COEX

For those looking for hotel summer desserts other than bingsu, Sky Lounge at InterContinental Seoul COEX presents chef’s homemade Italian gelato until the end of August.

Gelato is loved around the world for its dense, rich flavor with a chewy texture. This summer, Sky Lounge offers three flavors -- tiramisu, affogato and mango yoghurt.

The three types of gelato are made with authentic Italian ingredients, for example, Italian mascarpone cheese and Italian espresso.

Hello Kitty bingsu buffet at JW Mariott Dongdaemun


The Lounge at JW Mariott Dongdaemun Square Seoul presents its Hello Kitty bingsu dessert buffet, with the name of “DJ Hello Kitty.”

The buffet is operated under the concept of DJ Hello Kitty running an LP bar. Bingsu, decorated with Hello Kitty ornaments, will be served in a disco ball shaped bowl.

Separate buffet station offers sweet desserts and bingsu side menus, such as rice cakes and salted caramel.

Flavor of ice at Conrad Seoul

Conrad Seoul’s 37 Grill and Bar offers two choices of bingsu, the ultimate Korean summer dessert made with shaved ice and milk.

Diners are offered a choice between mango and red bean for the topping. The milk is brewed with Althaus’ Earl Grey tea. A special plating decoration is added with the use of dry-ice to create a cloud-like mirage. The ice-cold decoration also prevents bingsu from melting.

Afternoon tea at Seoul Dragon City


Seoul Dragon City’s wine bar A La Maison presents Maison de Garden Afternoon Tea Set. The overall theme is set around the idea of a secret garden in the city center, as the set menu can be ordered from the hotel’s garden terrace.

The set includes two cups of herbal tea, four sandwiches and eight desserts, including champagne jelly and lemon tart. Diners can also smell six types of herb teas before making their selection.

The tea set can be ordered from 11:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Only 10 sets per day are available, costing 68,000 won for two people. For reservation, call (02) 2223-7100.
