Fashion can drastically change one’s image. And such was the case for teen actress Seo Shin-ae, who attended the Busan International Film Festival clad in a white revealing dress.

The 18-year-old actress drew attention at the event’s star-studded red carpet Thursday, as she wore a revealing white dress that was a stark contrast to her previous youthful image. 

Her outfit generated buzz on social media, with some netizens disapproving.

Several comments read, “It’s shocking to see Seo in that sexy outfit” and “Who styled her? It’s as if a little girl is wearing her mother’s clothes.”

On Thursday, a source representing Seo addressed the issue by telling the media that they had not expected her dress to stir this much of a reaction. The source added that Seo chose the dress herself to shed her teenager image and opt for a more mature appearance.

Seo previously revealed that she often gets stressed by people treating her like a child due to her youthful appearance.

Seo started her acting career at an early age in 2004. She was featured in the film “Meet Mr. Daddy” (2007) and TV dramas such as “Grudge: The Revolt of Gumiho” in 2010 and “The Queen’s Classroom” in 2013.
