The annual Seoul International Fireworks Festival, more commonly known as the Yeouido fireworks festival, will take place Saturday from 7 p.m. at Yeouido Hangang Park.

The event organizers promised the festival will showcase “the most exuberant and magnificent” fireworks to brighten up the night sky of Seoul.

This year’s theme will be multimedia fireworks. Each firework will be based on cutting-edge technology. Following the show, there will be an after-party featuring a DJ performance.

People wishing to attend are advised to wear long sleeves for the chilly night and bring a blanket, picnic mat and food.

Once the fireworks start, nearby lights will go out and the crowd is likely to make it so there will hardly be any room to move about. Trash is to be thrown away at “clean zones” to keep the environment neat, organizers added.

The Yeouido fireworks festival is presented by Hanwha Corporation, which has been in the fireworks business since 1964.
