Taste of Thailand at Sheraton D Cube City
 
 Sheraton D Cube City Hotel is presenting authentic Thai dishes for its “Thai@Feast” promotion from Aug.7-27 at the hotel’s signature restaurant Feast on the 41st floor. The menu will be prepared by guest chefs from Thailand’s Sheraton Grande Sukhumvit in Bangkok.

 The chefs will present an assortment of Thai dishes including the Kaho Samunprai Nai Kratong Tong, or organic crispy rice, and Kanom Pang Na Goog, a deep-fried shrimp toast with sweet plum sauce. Also available will be Tom Kha Gai, a chicken soup with spicy coconut broth; Gae Phad Grapoa, stir fried lamb with chili, garlic and hot basil; Moo Ob Smun Prai, a braised marinated pork loin with Thai herbs; and Geang Kiew Waan Nua, a green beef curry with eggplant and sweet basil.

Beach-themed party at W Seoul-Walkerhill Hotel

 W Hotel Seoul–Walkerhill is presenting the “Summer Escape Party,” a resort-themed summer party with music by local DJs, at the hotel’s stylish WooBar on Aug. 8.

For the party, the bar will be filled with beach decorations including sunbeds, beach towels, parasols, surfboards, floating tubes and more. The dress code is “beach attire.”

A number of renowned local DJs including DJ Gio Vanhoutte, who is W Hotel Seoul’s music curator, Hanmin, Mazestik and Steve Wu will be playing. DJ Hanmin has appeared on popular TV shows such as Infinite Challenge and Running Man, while DJ Mazestik is the resident DJ at Gangnam’s Club Ellui. DJ Steve Wu operates his own record label and produces alongside boy band ZE:A’s Moon Joon-young.

Outdoor jacuzzi at Banyan Tree Club & Spa Seoul
Banyan Tree Club & Spa Seoul’s Moon Bar is offering the “Petit Oasis” promotion, where guests will be granted private usage of the bar’s outdoor terrace jacuzzi, until Sept. 30. The jacuzzi emits a fountain of steaming water, allowing guests to enjoy a dip well into the nighttime.

The promotion also includes a barbecue or fruit platter for four persons, along with Drappier champagne or a bottle of Reyka vodka. It is priced at 500,000 won from Sundays to Wednesdays, and at 650,000 won from Thursdays to Saturdays. There is a 50,000 won added fee for each extra person, and the maximum number of persons allowed is eight.

The terrace is located on the 20th and 21st floors of the hotel, providing a panoramic view of Seoul’s nightscape. A diverse range of drinks including stylish cocktails, champagne, sake and beer and side dishes are available. For inquiries, call (02) 2250-8151. 

Romantic getaway at Sheraton Grande Walkerhill
Sheraton Grande Walkerhill is offering two romantic packages for couples from July to Dec. 30. Both packages include one overnight stay and one bottle of fruity Henkell Trocken sparkling wine.

Priced at 320,000 won, the “Oh My Sweetie” package includes an overnight stay in the deluxe room and a romantic five-course dinner at CLOCK 16, a grill restaurant located at the 16th floor of the hotel. The menu consists of mozzarella and tomato salad with pesto sauce, chef’s soup of the day, grilled shrimp and scallop with caponata, charcoal-grilled prime hanwoo beef tenderloin, sorbet, and sweet potato cake with fruit sauce.

Priced at 350,000 won, the “Oh My Darling” package includes a one-night stay in the club deluxe room and a course dinner at CLOCK 16, along with breakfast and happy hour at the 17th floor club lounge, exclusive to guests staying in the club rooms. For inquiries, call (02) 2022-0000.

 Oktoberfest beer festival at Grand Hilton Seoul
Grand Hilton Seoul Hotel is starting early-bird ticket sales for its renowned Oktoberfest celebration, which replicates the annual beer festival held in Munich, Germany. On sale from July 13-31, the tickets are available, with a 15 percent discount, at a price of 120,000 won per person.

The 2015 Grand Hilton Oktoberfest will be held on Saturday, Sept. 5 at the hotel’s convention center. The event has become Seoul’s largest beer festival with over 1,000 people visiting every year.

This year will feature traditional German food and unlimited Paulaner Hefe-Weissbier and Paulaner Oktoberfest lager on tap, as well as a variety of other beers, including Becks. The Paulaner Oktoberfest Band will be coming from Munich to perform live at the event. Games and lucky draw events will be offering various prizes such as airline tickets, hotel vouchers and more.
