Sheraton Incheon Hotel

The hotel has appointed Jeon Ha-ryong as its new executive chef of its Chinese restaurant, YUE. Prior to joining the hotel, he built his career in deluxe hotels in Seoul specializing in Chinese and Asian cuisine. Working for the Sheraton Incheon Hotel, Jeon said he will focus on introducing original tastes and recipes in Chinese cuisine. For reservations, call YUE at (032) 835-1718.


The Ritz-Carlton, Seoul

From Mar. 4 to Mar. 31, Chinese chef Qingquan Lin will offer authentic Cantonese dishes at the hotel’s restaurant Chee Hong. Especially for the upcoming event, Chef Lin is featuring delicacies such as braised abalone and sea urchin roe, black moss-steamed chicken with mushroom and vegetables, and steamed shark’s fin with green laver sauce. The lunch set menu is 78,000 won while dinner menus are available at 130,000 won and 210,000 won. Call (02) 3451-8273.


InterContinental Seoul COEX

The hotel’s international buffet restaurant, the Brasserie, holds an “Asian Food Festival” from Feb. 21 to Mar. 31 on weekdays. Delicacies from countries such as Hong Kong, Thailand and India will be presented during the festival. The prices for the promotion remain the same as usual: 50,000 won for lunch and 62,000 won for dinner, inclusive of VAT and service charge. Call the Brasserie at (02) 3430-8610.


Banyantree Club & Spa Seoul

The resort offers spring season massage treatment. The service begins with a sports massage to improve and tone muscles for better mobility and flexibility. For hands and feet, a warm Paraffin treatment is available to restore suppleness and prevent premature ageing. The massage lasts 120 minutes and is priced at 240,000 won plus 10 percent VAT. The promotion is valid from Mar. 1 to Mar. 31. 


Lotte Hotel

The hotel’s buffet restaurant La Seine, which has been relocated to the first floor recently, offers a 50 percent discount to female guests for the Monday lunch buffet to celebrate its reopening from Feb. 28 through Apr. 25. The “Ladies’ Day Event” is already creating a sensation among female residents and office workers in nearby areas. The discounted lunch buffet price is 33,000 won.
