Coalition formally adopts target of net zero by 2050

The Coalition has formally adopted the long-term target of net zero by 2050, and Prime Minister Scott Morrison has confirmed he will take the commitment to next week's climate summit in Glasgow. The latest projections show Australia is on track to cut emissions by 30 to 35 per cent by 2030 but Mr Morrison says the formal target of a 26 to 28 per cent reduction will remain unchanged.
